Help me give my students the joy of selecting some amazing reading materials out of an exciting vending machine. This vending machine will be tailored to the needs of all students in the school and continuously filled.

My Students

Our students love to collaborate and are doing better with it all the time. They are curious and love to learn about the world around them. My students love to learn using hands-on experiences, and really thrive when doing so, especially in interdisciplinary lessons. We have a tremendous population of English as a Second Language Learners that do a fantastic job of teaching each other through real-life experiences.

They love to use books, technology, STEM materials, or anything they can get their hands on to learn from.

Our student population is so diverse in language, race, ethnicity and socio-economic status and THAT is one of the things that make them so wonderful. Staff and students band together to create such a loving and strong community

My Project

Reading and literacy are obviously a foundation for learning across all grade levels. Putting books in kids' hands that they are excited to read in one huge step to growing these fundamentals. Sometimes other motivators are needed as well.

This Inchworm Book Vending Machine will allow us to drum up excitement for reading to over 500 elementary students from many diverse backgrounds, while simultaneously providing rewards for excellence.

This excellence will be in academics, behavior, growth, and all things teachers will determine lead to even more success!

Eager learners in our school will have the opportunity to choose from enticing titles, multicultural authors and subjects, timeless classics, and just about any genre that will peak their interest!
