Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Do you love to shop? My students do too!! My favorite way to encourage class participation, quality work, and maximum effort, is a class store! Students earn play money for all of these things, including good behavior.

I would like my store to have items that the kids love and are willing to work hard for!

I love hearing the oohs and aahs when students discover items that they really want. They look at the price and create a personal goal to work towards earning that amount.

By doing this all year long, my 2nd graders get to work on counting and understanding money, adding, subtracting and rote counting by 5's and 10's. This also helps them work on goal setting. Please help me provide a refreshing restock of snacks, pens and slime for next school year!
