In my three years of teaching, I have come to notice that no matter what age group I am teaching, they come in ready to learn from their new teacher and show me new ways I need to go about that teaching.
For the group I will be recieving this year, I want to have them coming into a classroom that helps to enhance their creative, thoughtful minds.
I want it to feel inviting and have enough materials to fit the needs of all of my students. Differentiation is key, and I want to ensure that I have enough to cater to all of my new students' learning styles and interests.
I try to incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, flexible seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met! I know they are going to be a truly incredible group, and I want them to come in having the best school year that I can give them!
These materials will help my students have a variety of books to work on pairing different text, as well as books in subjects such as Math and Science, that will help them gain a visual understanding. I feel that books are a great, fun way to help students learn and the more they read, the better they will become at their comprehension skills. It will also help students who are not on grade level, gain more practice and will give them a variety of options, to help them gain interest in reading.
I want my students to know that reading can be fun and that there are so many great books out there that can teach them so many different things.
Learning can be fun!
