My Project

These books will continue to build the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. In my classroom, students can find a variety of reading levels, genres, and authors for independent reading, which I require as part of my curriculum. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind--many are seeking contemporary, multi-cultural voices to explore. While our school library is wonderful, providing access to even more novels, especially right in the classroom, emphasizes the importance of reading. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time while challenging them.

The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.

My students already have shown an enthusiasm for independent reading this year, and this project will help enrich student experiences now and in future years.
