This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When students start Pre-K they come in ready to learn a very important skill: writing. This skill needs to be practiced and applied every single day to achieve legible handwriting. I like to come up with fun ways to teach writing to my students, whether it be with tracing, directed drawing, chalk, playdough, crayons and markers, shaving cream, etc.

These supplies I've requested will help in finding new ways to teach my students how to write.

We'll be using the boards and markers to practice writing the students' names, their friends' names, and individual letters, in addition, to sounding out the letters. They'll be used to write syllables, the new vocabulary for the week, and numbers.
