My 3rd grade students are unique, creative, and inquisitive. I teach at a Title 1 Public Charter School, which job is to service all children, giving them love and opportunity. These children are all unique in their own way. They all uniquely read, write, talk, laugh, and best of all, love!
My students have the drive to learn!
They always try the absolute best and encourage each other to not give up. In class, we teach them different strategies to solve problems (life and academic problems), by using their words, pictures, and other resources! They are an enjoyable group of kiddos! I’m so proud to teach them and see them grow each year!
These books will give my students an opportunity to explore the world of words. My students are transitioning from the phase of learning to read to reading to learn. These books will help my students with their academic abilities!
In class we have a learning block where we teach guiding reading.
These books will be used for small guided reading groups, to deep dive into the characters, main idea, and authors message.
Kids also have opportunities to independently read during morning work and book nook (during guided reading centers). My students are always excited to read new books with relatable characters.
The class library books are always well taken care of. There is a lesson on the importance of taking care of books!
