Help me give my students the option to choose where they can do their best work with a variety of flexible seating. The small table will make a great conferring and working space on our rug!

My Students
I teach a diverse group of fourth grade students in Indianapolis, IN. They enjoy playing our class games and working together on group challenges. We have only been together for a few weeks, but we have already had a lot of fun!
This group of students is very active and excited!
They are constantly moving and collaborating with one another. My students are wonderful people to work and grow with, and I am very motivated to provide them the best education I possibly can.
My Project
My students this year are looking for ways to find their own space to focus and work. Some of their best reading and writing has been done in odd corners of the room or underneath their desks. Many students just don't feel comfortable doing all their assignments in a chair or in the same place all day long.
To support this group of learners, I would like to provide them with more comfortable options to work around my room.
This year, our school is focusing on supporting students as they become strong readers who can choose a good text and sustain their reading. My own personal goal is to become a better teacher of writing. I envision students leaving our whole group lessons and discussing their ideas around the small table or reading on a ball chair next to our class pet. Giving my students the power to make more comfortable choices to help them do their best work will help them grow as strong and capable learners!
