My Project
Read alouds are essential to student growth and performance, especially in first grade! This project contains a collection of read alouds and mentor texts that will help students learn to develop as authors within the genres of sequential writing, sentence structure, fluency, descriptive writing, writing friendly letters, narratives, informational text, opinion writing and more!
My students are eager to learn, LOVE to read, and are never more engaged than when they are being read to.
Read alouds open a child's mind to details, story structure, comprehension, and so much more! I can't wait to use these mentor texts to develop the abilities of my first graders as writers!
