My students need four Read About Science Learning Centers to explore science concepts on their own.
This project expired on December 11, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Learning to read is very different than reading to learn. My students need to practice the lifelong skill of reading to learn!
My students are great kiddos.
They are at a Title 1 school in Texas. Title 1 means that a majority of our students face economic hardships. Despite the challenges, they arrive at my classroom door eager to learn. Third grade is such a wonderful year!
I am requesting Read About Science Learning Centers. These centers have books, information cards, activities, and hands-on materials. You even get an experiment that takes students through the entire scientific process. These centers have an additional benefits because they are designed for students to use in groups. Students can work together through explorations using collaborative and problem solving skills.
This project is important because as students grow and learn to read, they have to transition to reading to learn.
This is a lifelong skill that will carry them throughout the rest of their education. Help me help my students and support this project!
