Help me give my students more books to read in our classroom library
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. White's classroom raised $174

My Students
My students come from low-income families. We have 100% free breakfast and lunch for every child. Students are not always able to access some of the resources that would help them succeed educationally.
My students are thankful for the resources they do have.
They are eager to learn and thankful for any opportunity they are given. These students need to be exposed to diverse, rich, and meaningful content. This can only be done with the use of meaningful resources that make learning easier and more engaging.
My Project
Reading helps create leaders in so many different ways. Reading not only helps to teach students the standards required, but it also helps them learn how to be successful in life. Books introduce the students to different worlds that they have never set foot in. This is why it is important that a classroom library encompasses literature that is full of diverse stories that reflect all students' backgrounds and cultures. These books will allow for needed conversations with students. Using diverse literature at early ages can help to promote empathy and critical thinking. By getting these books, I can look forward to impacting hundreds of students over the years.
