Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the lucky teacher of a group of twenty-one wonderful students. They are awesome and I tell them that daily! They are a group of hard working, diverse learners who come from working class families. I also instill in my classroom that we are a family; we all work together as a team!

Giving my students as many opportunities as possible is a major goal in my classroom!

My students love to work around the classroom and giving them the opportunity to move around and have flexible seating, will help create a positive learning environment.

My Project

Reading is such an important part of our school day and also, an important skill to have in life. My students need more books to choose from in our classroom library. These leveled books will help students get more independent reading time at their correct reading level. If students are reading at their correct level, they will be more engaged during reading time, which will contribute to multiple reading skills they need to have.

By donating to our project, students will get more opportunities to read, which will build their stamina and foster a love for reading.

Adding new books to our classroom library will bring such joy and excitement to my students. I am looking forward to sharing these new books with my kids!
