My Project

I am lucky enough to teach a fantastic first-grade class full of students who love to learn. My students have a variety of learning needs that require differentiation and engaging activities. Each child comes from a different background, but most come from a low socioeconomic environment.

Reading magazines is an excellent way to incorporate science and social studies into daily lessons.

Students get excited and love having their own colorful magazines to keep.

The Scholastic Readers and Science Spin are the best nonfiction texts I have found for my students. They always engage the students with beautiful, vibrant pictures. Students love getting their very own magazines that we read in the classroom, and that they can take home to share with their family. This is a wonderful way to get families talking about what we are learning in the classroom.

These magazines are full of limitless possibilities.

The magazines take students on incredible learning journeys without ever leaving the classroom. The magazines help students learn about the world around them and become more informed and active citizens.
