This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach students who have difficulty reading. Many of them have learning disabilities and learn best when many modalities are utilized. The program I use has different stations where students practice different reading skills. One of those stations is a computer station.

Students use a program focused on their individualized needs which allows them to practice their reading skills.

This program requires them to record themselves reading, so a microphone is necessary. I have had great success with this program in past years.

My current headphones are showing wear and tear, and several of them are close to breaking. This project will allow me to provide my students with working microphones so they can be successful and build their confidence in reading.
