My classroom is a typical math class room. I am planning to use threes books to connect with my students on another level.
My school is an inner city school, but very diverse.
The students come from primarily two middle schools. The schools and the students are very diverse. I work with the 9th grade in a looping program, so I will have them next year also. Beyond mathematics, we are striving to develop character in our students.
My Project
The students will use these books to be inspired by others. I am going that this resource will help my young black male students. They do not have a lot of time models with in our school, so I want to add add much inspiration as I can. We work with some programs, but this will be a valuable resource.
This project will help to make my students more aware of who they can become.
This will be beneficial for all the students, not only the black males. I will also learn from this project.
