Help me give my students a kindle to be able to enjoy reading with a tech device that uses e-ink technology, not an LCD screen, so they can discreetly and joyfully read books at their level.
I work with an incredible bunch of students at all different levels! Many of them are on their way to becoming lifelong readers, and some need some help from us to develop a love for reading. We often have students hanging out after school and it's much easier to get their entertainment from the iPad, but we want to offer kindles as a great alternative. For the ones who are reluctant readers, they need something to catch their attention and hook them into a love of reading. Since technology makes anything more fun, a Kindle is a perfect way to get them hooked on reading!

They are so smart and so hardworking. They read at all different levels, and it's our job to make sure they have reading materials at their level to help them fall in love with the joy of reading!
My Project
We are very passionate about reading at our school. We want to provide students the best books and tools to enjoy reading while improving their skills. Sometimes in order to best do that, we need to change things up and increase interest. Some of our older students have lost interest in reading because they are embarrassed by the books at their level. Help me re-kindle their love of reading! This is where a fun device with every book at our fingertips will really help!
With the kindle, our students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
They will also have an amazing selection to choose from which allows them to find books that interest them. They will have books at their level in every subject to read on a fun device that uses technology that is not harmful to their brains and eyes like an iPad. The more we can engage our students in reading the more successful they will be in the future. This is our number one goal!
