My students need these leveled reader books in order to successfully transition from very basic readers to short chapter book readers. Essentially they will go from "learning how to read" to "reading for knowledge".

My Students
My 1st grade students are a diverse collection of children from different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds at a Title I school. Hailing from Mexico, Vietnam, and Nepal, we have become a cohesive unit, dedicated to learning and becoming great citizens.
My students are voracious readers who get very excited about reading new books and improving their scores.
They have a wide range of interests, including non-fiction and fiction.
We are working hard to create a community focused on mindfulness, hard work and laughter. Together, we can accomplish anything.
My Project
My students need leveled reading books to become successful lifelong independent readers. The books will be ideal for both guided and independent instruction and make it easy to differentiate instruction and meet every child's needs. Students will start on their own level of ability and progress through year once they have mastered the skills within that level.
Leveled Readers will help my students become successful and enthusiastic readers with specially selected books for every reading level.
My students will love to see the new and interesting books in our classroom. They will take this opportunity to make themselves the best readers they can be.
