My Students
My classroom consists of students from different backgrounds in a heavily military populated area who come together on a daily basis to be successful. They participate in a reading program that requires one-on-one conferencing, small group instruction, and 30 minutes of independent reading throughout the day.
In my classroom, we enjoy collaborating with our peers to give kind, specific, helpful feedback.
All of my students are very eager to learn, and enjoy working with one another. I want them to have a fun place to learn, feel safe, and know that they are valued and have a voice.
My Project
These books will continue to give my students a print-rich classroom. My classroom library has become a place that my students love to go to: they read, work together, and complete independent work there. I chose these books with my students in mind. I've gotten to know what they love and see what they enjoy reading daily.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose interesting books to keep them engaged and in love with reading.
My students have lots of opportunities to read independently and with a partner throughout the day, and I know these books will make them love this time even more than they already do!
