This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Rainy season is upon us.

I have included rain ponchos and hot cocoa in this project. Our school is rural and my classroom is in a portable. As a result, we do not have hallways and my students are exposed to the elements. It would be lovely if they could wear rain ponchos to get to and from other parts of the school.

There is nothing better than cozying up to a good book on a cold winter day. Rainy days, especially, invite imagination and wonder. Last semester, I introduced my students to Chris Van Alsberg and their imagination was set on fire. This project includes both Wonder by Palacios and Van Alsberg books that are not in my classroom library
