Rainy Day Reading

Help me give my students a variety of books to read in our classroom because my students are always asking me to purchase more books of the series they like!

My Students

My students are all from an urban public school system in Massachusetts. They attend a large neighborhood school that is constantly expanding. The school community is where all students will succeed no matter what their background is.

My students like to learn in a variety of ways; some learn better in whole group lessons, while some learn better during small group lessons.

My students are continuing to read to learn about the many amazing things that exist in our world. The potential in these students is great with sufficient resources.

My Project

These materials will benefit my students greatly! My students enjoy reading independently. Giving my students more access to new titles in our library will continue to pique their interest. My students are frequently asking for more books to add to our collection. That can get expensive.

Watching my students grab a new book, and share it with their friends in the classroom really makes me feel special.

They enjoyed a book enough that they thought a friend would also enjoy. That is a skill that all teachers and even parents want their children to have.

I can't wait to see their faces when this new collection of books will be revealed to them!
