Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our students are curious, creative learners who love to explore new materials and find out how things work. They enjoy coming to school and eagerly jump into new learning experiences, working together to discover new ways of understanding the world around them. They love to play outside!

Our school is working to create a beautiful, engaging school garden that includes many opportunities for science learning and outdoor exploration.

These rain boots and waterproof rain jackets will be available to all 6 classrooms in our school. Teachers will be able to continue to take their classes outside to observe and explore our school garden, to play in our mud kitchen, to write on our outdoor chalkboards, and to play in our sand box even when the surfaces are wet or it's lightly raining outside. This will make outdoor learning much more accessible to our students!
