The cards give them the agency to explore their interests and language with autonomy and provide meaningful auditory input. Students love climbing up the stairs to wave goodbye to their families and hello to their classmates about to walk in the front door. While students were already gravitating towards the window, there wasn't a safe way for them to get at the correct level. It was exciting to see the blocks illuminated!\r\n\r\nCurrently we are studying tubes and tunnels. We switched out the magnetic blocks for translucent tubes that we can also use to build longer tunnels. \r\n\r\nIn between our studies we have also used the light table for some of our math small groups. They take turns choosing a puppet to bring characters to life while we sing together, helping them develop rhythm, confidence, and storytelling skills.
