Race for the 5th grade House Cup!

Help me give my students copies of the 3rd Harry Potter book, "Prisoner of Azkaban" and little prizes in order for them to be able to continue the Harry Potter journey that is making reading so enjoyable!

My Project

My students come from many different countries around the world, but most now reside in an extremely needy and low-income area of the city. Although education funding is severely lacking in our district, our school and its staff are excellent and do everything possible to make sure it is a safe haven for the students, full of learning and rich experiences. Our students love coming to school, and are eager to learn and grow!

My students fall in love with reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets each year.

Kids who have never seemed to enjoy books transform into excited, voracious readers. Every day, they actually CHEER when I ask them to take out their book. Watching this new love of reading grow in them has been nothing short of magical for me. I have a class set of the second books in the Harry Potter series which we are currently reading. The students have been sorted into their Hogwarts Houses and are engaged in a stiff competition to win the "House Cup". We need some copies of the 3rd book, "Prisoner of Azkaban", in order for students to be able to continue the Harry Potter journey that is making reading so enjoyable for them.
