My Project

My students come to school each day ready to learn, grow, and challenge themselves. As upper elementary students, they are developing independence and taking on more rigorous academic tasks that require sustained focus and concentration.

However, many of my students struggle to stay focused in a busy classroom environment.

Noise, movement, and distractions can make it difficult for them to fully engage in reading, writing, and assessments. Some students especially benefit from having a defined, personal workspace where they can concentrate without interruptions.

To support their needs, I am requesting a stand-alone study carrel. This dedicated workspace will provide a quiet, structured environment where students can complete independent work, take assessments, or reset when they need a calm place to focus.

This study carrel features an adjustable height design to accommodate all students comfortably, along with a spacious work surface and an upper shelf for organizing materials. It creates a sense of privacy while still allowing me to monitor and support students as needed.

With this addition to our classroom, I will be able to better support diverse learning needs by offering a flexible seating option that promotes focus, independence, and confidence.
