My Project

When I watch videos assignments of my students practicing at home, many of them are relegated to the basement, the garage or the back porch because the volume of their instrument is disruptive to their family. Some students live in apartments and there are noise ordinances that prohibit them playing at home.

These practice mutes will allow students to still develop strong sounds while reducing the decibel level of their instrument.

Developing a strong sound is important, but when they are required to practice softly, it is hard to achieve that goal. These practice mutes will allow them to practice and still use a full amount of air, but the volume of sound will be reduced by the mute.

Mrs. Wolf will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by September 5.
