Help me give my students drum pads and drum sticks to help practice rhythms.

My Project
Drumming is the number one requested activity amongst elementary music students. When practicing new rhythms and patterns, I usually have students clapping. This works, but it could be better. Using drum sticks to play rhythms requires hand-eye coordination as well as independent use of each hand.
Rhythm practice is essential to building musical knowledge.
In my upper grades, I use a program called "Rhythm Judo" where students practice rhythms independently. When they master a rhythm, they master that belt level, like in Karate. There are 9 different belts, with each one getting more difficult. Right now, students use drumsticks on the floor to practice. While this works, drum sticks don't have the correct bounce or sound. Because of this, student get discouraged.
Having a class set of drum practice pads would encourage students to practice more, keep the classroom quieter during practice time, and give them a real feel for what an actual snare drum would feel like.
