Help me give my students clean, fresh, and filtered water to quench their thirst.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in an urban school district. I teach math and sciences at the different blocks- two sciences and one math class. I love my students because they demonstrate an atmosphere of diversity who are willing to explore new things.
Due to the diverse nature of my students, many of them struggle with academic work.
Some of these students walk to school hungry.
My Project
Water is essential for life. Not all students come to school with a bottle of water. Most students depend on the drinking water fountain. Due to the current pandemic, very few students drink from the fountain. Students who are thirty simply remain thirty throughout the school day when they do not get bottled water.
Providing water filter system in the classroom would make clean, fresh, filtered water available for students whenever they are thirsty while class is in progress.
This will not only quench their thirst, but also hep students to remain in class rather going out in search of water.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
