My Students

We focus on growth, not perfection. We are critical thinkers and problem solvers. We use what we know to move forward and become more knowledgeable about our units of study. We want to be inquiriers and think our way through each step of our learning. We strive to be reflective and see where we can grow in the future. We never stop learning and know that we will always be life long learners who have the capability to learn something new each day.

My Project

When students are able to read nonfiction texts that are relevant to the world keeps students engaged.

Students will be able to read and respond with their ideas and feelings about the articles from Time for Kids.

Our non fiction text will allow us to all read the same text together. We will be able to have large and small group discussions about what is happening in the text. We will be able to practice making connections with the text and learn how to analyze characters and see how they change throughout the story.

Having high quality nonfiction and fiction texts available for us to enjoy as a class will help our growth and encourage a life long love for reading.
