This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom consists of special education pre-k students who love completing puzzles! Puzzles can help teach students patience and persistence and help develop problem-solving skills. Students also work on their fine motor skills by working with the puzzle pieces. Puzzles can help build social skills and encourage teamwork when students work together to complete them. Students also learn how to focus on an activity. My class loves using puzzles during our academic centers. There are many benefits to hands-on learning including developing critical thinking skills, engaging both the right and left sides of the brain, and students being more motivated to learn.

These Lakeshore Learning Alphabet Puzzles will help introduce my students to letters in a fun and interactive way.

Each puzzle has 5 colorful pieces with familiar images for each letter of the alphabet. Students practice sounding out words and identifying letters.
