Puzzling our Way Through Life

Due to having a variety of muscle problems, my students need to work on grasping objects. I am asking for large knobbed puzzles, a puzzle case to store the puzzles and 3 table games, 1 floor game and a wall mounted maze.

We are a class of 6 multi-handicapped 16-22 yr olds. For fun, we like to do puzzles and board games. But because we live in a tough economic area, our teacher has no money to get us the things that will help us grow to be more capable.

My students work hard during the day. So when they get a chance to relax and have some fun,they need things that are appropriate to their abilities. While having fun, they can continue to work on grasping and grabbing items and also work on interpersonal skills with peers.

With the help of new friends, I would love to get them a set of 7 puzzles and the case to store the puzzles in. Along with that, I would love to have 3 table top games; Poppa's Pizza Pile Up, Honey Bee Tree and a set of Pop Tubes. We would really like too, to have a wall mounted series of mazes that will help pre-writing skills as well as our grasping and grabbing. These items will also be used for many more years with students who need the same types of activities.

Smiling and cheerful faces are important during the school day. With your help, my students will be able to smile, while puzzling their way through life and still work on grasping and grabbing items. To be independent is everyone's goal. My students are no different in that respect. They just need a bigger variety of things to push them to be all they can be.
