My students are three year olds who are attending school for the very first time. They come from a variety of experiences and backgrounds. They speak several different languages and each will have their own educational needs.
My students are looking forward to their first school experience as well as make friends with their peers.
It was heartwarming seeing my students enter the classroom with big smiles on their faces as they were so excited to meet their peers and teachers.
My Project
My students are quickly mastering our limited supply of older, less challenging puzzles. I would like my students to have puzzles that are more challenging, to help them develop persistence and perseverance.
Puzzles are a great way to develop problem-solving skills.
Doing puzzles can help students learn that there is more than one way to solve a problem. Students can also work together and collaborate on how to complete their puzzle.
Puzzles are also great for developing fine-motor skills like finger strengthening and hand-eye coordination.
My students would enjoy working on puzzles that reflect their interests as well as seeing the diversity in our classroom reflected in the puzzles themselves.
