We are beginning our school year remotely, which means parents and caregivers will be doing a significant amount of hands-on work with their children. I want to make sure my three year olds and their families have the supplies they need in order to engage in the activities and lessons would normally do in-person. I want my students to have the materials they normally would be using if we were in school. The 'Pete the Cat' book is a favorite beginning of the year book for children. I want my students to be able to be creative in developing their fine-motor skills, which is what they will do through play-doh, making collages, writing, and drawing. Journals are so important in preschool as their drawings and dictations will teach them that (their) words have meaning. Other materials will help support emerging math fluency. These materials will help me to better partner with my students' families in helping nurture their love of learning, even remote learning.
