My Project

I am going to dive into using Micro Mentor Texts: Using Short Passages from Great Books to Teach Writer's Craft. Penny Kittle uses pieces from amazing middle grade texts to use for writing craft lessons. They also make for great reading lessons.

The books Penny uses belong on our shelves.

Students just might get hooked from the part shared in class, so I want to be able to give them access to the entire book. Placing good books on our shelves is the best way to ensure that every student has the best chance of finding that one book that makes them fall in love with reading.
