My students need a visual timer, a long arm stapler and a booklet stapler to create new classroom books during our writing workshop time and to be able to fix our books right away!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come excited to learn in two languages. Parents voted a few years ago to have uniforms as the dress code for the students. This helps students to stay focus on learning and provides a positive learning environment for each student. They are in the Spanish Immersion Dual Language classroom. They come from a diverse cultural, linguistic, and economic background. More than 85% of students, qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. My bright students get an opportunity to learn English and Spanish literacy every day, Math in English and Science in Spanish. 25% of my students' first language is English, and 50% of my students' first language is Spanish, and 25% speak another language. They all share the journey to graduate from High School bicultural, bilingual, and bi-literate and it all begins in my kindergarten classroom.
My Project
My students are wonderful and creative bilingual authors and we are always looking for ways to share our work in and out of our classroom. By having a booklet stapler and a long arm stapler, we will be able to put our pages into books to share our writing in our classroom with our peers and at home with our families.
My students will be even more motivated to write more and longer stories by having these staplers in the classroom.
They will be able to be part of the publishing process and the best part is that they will be able take their work home to share with their families. right now, they take all of their pages in a folded construction paper and not the best way to show off all of their hard work. These staples will help us fix our books in the classroom right away. A visual timer will keep us on task in the classroom specially during independent writing and reading.
