This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having a button maker in an educational setting offers numerous benefits for students. First, it provides a hands-on learning experience that engages students in the creative process from start to finish. By designing and creating their own buttons, students develop skills in graphic design, visual communication, and problem-solving.

Additionally, the process of using a button maker can promote fine motor skills and coordination, particularly in younger students.

Moreover, button making can be integrated into various subjects, including art, social studies, and language arts, allowing students to express themselves creatively while reinforcing academic concepts.

Having a button maker encourages collaboration and teamwork as students share ideas and work together to produce their designs. Overall, incorporating a button maker into my library makerspaces will foster a dynamic and interactive learning environment that enhances creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among my students.
