My students come from rural Eastern Kentucky, most of which are from a low social economic status. We have a high majority of our students with free or reduced lunch. We are a small school that tries to give not only a great classroom education but also opportunities to play sports outside the classroom.
We want all our students to know that they are special and they are loved by all.
Our local area suffers as do many from the drug crisis, by having after school sports for our students, we offer a way to keep kids out of trouble. Our teachers and coaches work around the clock to better our students.
My Project
My students come from a very rural and low economic high drug and crime area of Eastern Kentucky. Our school is just now offering baseball or our students. We have very little gear and are trying to make out with what we have. We do have some players that do not have the needed gear to play. We are trying to make sure that every kid that wants to play can play no matter if they can afford it.
We need to build pitching mounds and need the rubbers so we can make it where our pitchers can get the reps they need.
