Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students with social-emotional challenges benefit from consistent classroom materials that help create a calm, predictable, and supportive learning environment. Visual supports, organizational tools, sensory resources, and regulation materials can gently reduce stress, improve focus, and encourage positive engagement. When students have access to materials that support communication, emotional awareness, and self-management, they are better able to understand expectations and participate in learning with confidence. These resources help students practice coping strategies, build independence, and develop resilience over time. Providing appropriate classroom materials also supports smoother transitions, reduces frustration, and promotes a sense of safety and belonging. Ultimately, these supports allow students to access instruction more effectively, strengthen social skills, and make meaningful academic and emotional progress alongside their peers.
