Purposeful Play: The Foundation of Kindergarten

Help me give my students opportunities for cooperative play with their peers and learning how to share, take turns and respectful interactions using dominoes, straw constructor toys, and building blocks.

My Project

I have been at this new position for the past few months, and I am loving every minute of working with my new Kindergarteners! The classroom I inherited had very few materials and my children love to play together and use their imaginations. I would love to provide them with more games and building materials to expand their social interactions and their creativity! I love my new class of students and I want to give them every opportunity to build their social emotional skills and learn cooperative play.

Dominoes, straw constructor toys, marble run, games and building materials would also be utilized during indoor recess times where children have plenty of time for free exploratory play!
