My Project

I wish everyone could experience the beauty of early education. Seeing how the youngest minds listen to each other, love each other, continue to persevere through challenges, and help each other grow is something not many people have the privilege to witness, let alone nourish. I'm always amazed with how my students interact with the world around them; we adults could learn so much from them. This will be my 7th year teaching Transitional Kindergarten and my first year welcoming student's starting as young as 3. As I'm preparing to welcome my youngest learners yet (eeep, wish me luck!) it would be helpful to have these tools so that I can create a developmentally appropriate learning environment. It may seem like a hodgepodge of items but I promise each one comes with its own unique purpose to the classroom.

Within this project you will see items that will be used during music, phonics, ELA, and SEL lessons.

I love keeping my student's engaged through play. Each of these items are hands- on and developmentally appropriate. Rhyming is an essential foundation for early readers. The puzzle and sorting board will be used in small group instruction and later on a student lead center. The Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs allow children to make connections with letter sounds and the letter. They will be able to play games, sort, and have an enriching center each week! The bean bags and scarves will be used during music, phonics, and gross motor activities. Lastly the SEL books and activity will help navigate students' emotions and real life situations.
