My Project
Our students consistently share that lab day is their favorite time in science class. In biology and chemistry we make science come alive but many experiments require pure water. A water distiller is exactly what we need to produce pure water for our biology and chemistry labs.
A water distiller will allow us to produce the pure water that is essential to both life and good science experiments.
Having a water distiller will allow us to provide students with the laboratory materials that will make their labs more accurate. This way the hands-on knowledge they develop will be both memorable an accurate. Without pure water students laboratory observations won't match the foundational understanding developed in class. Having access to pure water is the only way to demonstrate how water supports life and moves through cells by osmosis. Have pure water will allow chemistry students to see that pure water is a poor conductor of electricity and the ions in tap water make it conduct electricity. As we work to develop an important foundation in scientific literacy and an excitement for scientific discovery it is important that students have the necessary materials like distilled water.
