Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are Title 1 students that come from low income families, and spanish speaking. By using dramatic play, my students will be able to interact with their peers using the puppet theater and the family living center items.
I want my students to be immersed in language and learning using play daily.
Depending on the theme of the week that we will be studying, such as community helpers, students will be able to dress up, or use the puppet theater to enhance their oral language and vocabulary. They will use cooperation, community, taking turns, and problem solving during our dramatic play and puppet theater.
Please help me give these students the resources they need to become fluent english language learners so they can succeed and have a lifetime of success.
