This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love using puppets to retell the stories in our lyrics! They are creative and extremely innovative in their exploration of music. I love to cross the curriculum and use my music lessons to reinforce the language arts goals from the general classroom. This project will allow me to expand the songs we learn to explore storytelling with puppets.

My students will be able to use the puppets to act out the story map for a variety of songs by identifying the characters, setting, problem, climax, and resolution in each song story.

Please help me give my students new puppets to use in our exploration of song lyrics.
