My Students

We are a title one school near Hill Air Force base. We have 20% of our 6th grade students that are military, 30% that identify as other ethnicities other than white. As you can see I have a wide variety of kids from many different walks of life. They are excited to learn and would love the opportunity to show off their writing skills with a puppet show.

My Project

In my classroom students write Poetry, Shakespearean style plays and their own Greek Myths. Having a puppet theater will allow them to perform their writing for peers and even parents and guardians on occasion without the pressure of actually standing in front of a crowd. They can use their voice but have a puppet take the heat. These types of projects help students create and collaborate together as well as improve Language art skills. They allow students to write, revise and explore in a low pressure way. Thank you for your support.
