Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first graders are six or seven years old. They are naturally curious and they have a love for learning.

My students are warm-hearted and will brighten your day when you are having the worst day.

They greet you with smiles and eyes full of wonder. The children are of Hispanic descent. The majority of them are English language learners. They attend a school located in a high poverty area. All students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch.

My Project

We use technology in our classroom everyday. We use various devices such as iPods, iPads, Chromebooks and PCs. A couple of the computer programs and education apps require microphones that the students speak into.

Having individual headphones will optimize our productivity in our classroom using technology as an learning tool.

We have tried using earbuds, but they get gross and very tangled, not to mention the earbud covers come off and get lost. With quality headphones, students will be able to get the job done. Being 1:1 with headphones will allow for students to work quietly and not interfere with other's thinking time.
