Our school is an academically successful, rural, high school that is filled to the brim with about 900 wonderful students. We serve our military community as well, pulling in students whose parents work at the USMC and Naval facilities at either Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point, Bogue Air Field, or at the Coast Guard stations.
In the state's ranking system, our high-performing high school has been ranked as a top ten public high school in NC for eleven consecutive years.
Through our state's report card system, we have been given an "A" designation, the only school in our district or county to have such a mark. We have earned this distinction for the FIFTH year in a row. And we are proud of it!
Our student-athletes are equally successful in our athletics program. We have won conference, regional, and statewide recognition in many of our team sports programs. Our athletes work hard and are proud to wear the black and gold of our school colors. Until this week, we were faced with no access to our school gym because Hurricane Florence flooded it. It has just reopened!
My Project
Our Athletic Department needs a new air compressor to use to inflate all the balls used by the athletic teams. We need footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, and general practice balls all inflated and our current compressor is just not able to handle the job. Hurricane Florence ravaged our gym area; in fact, we have just this week (Jan 4) gotten back into our gym since Flo blew through on September 13.
A new compressor would be a welcome addition into our team sports and athletic department.
The coaching staff members could quickly ready the equipment balls for practice and for games. The new compressor is built sturdier and has a better hose that will not leak with a reliable PSI measurement device that will ensure accuracy. Thanks for your help.
