Help me give my students specialized chairs as they move around the classroom for silent reading time. The headphones will help my low students who needs more assistance as they learn and practice to read.

My Students

I am lucky enough to teach an amazing group of 8 and 9 year olds who are eager to not only come to school but to learn as well. This group is kind-hearted and caring. They are always looking for ways to show or do a kind act for others and aren't afraid to be chivalrous. They enjoy sports, P.E., recess, jokes, playing tricks on their teacher, laughing, competitions, multiplication, cursive, and READING!

As these 3rd graders entered the classroom, after being shut down for several months, their smiles grew and stayed on their faces throughout the day!

They were so excited to be back and learning with not only their teachers, but their friends. They are still nervous about COVID-19, but are so grateful to be back in the saddle and learning all they can. As we march forward we are starting to see more and more students stay home for days and weeks at a time. Hopefully this new project will give me academic material to send home for them to use.

My Project

The Flex Space Comfy seats will help my students as they are still working on the social distance aspect of education. I can place the chairs around my room to ensure they are all at a safe distance as they read to learn or learn to ready.

The headphones will help limit the sharing aspect of education and ensures everything the same opportunity as they work independently on their online assignments.

Brainpop will help wrap up our lessons and keep them engaged as all 3rd graders love Moby. This will also help my students online as I can put the video up on my Google Classroom so they don't fall farther behind.
