My Project

Books are a gateway to the world! And many of my students love to read and discover. But I also have found that my multilingual learners aren’t always able to access high quality resource materials in their native language. My classroom library has precious few books in Spanish and I have several newcomers who love to read and would benefit from a combination of both Spanish and English books.

Knowledge should be accessible to all students no matter their native language!

For this reason I am excited to present a project where students will be given access to reference books and picture dictionaries that hold a wealth of information on the planet earth. Students are naturally curious so having access to picture dictionaries and references anthologies will allow them to hone that natural curiosity to discover something new. I can’t wait to stock my classroom library with these wonderful reference books in both Spanish so all of my learners will have access to the joys of “stumble upon” learning.
