This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Beginning of the school year can be a difficult time for many students and families financially. Receiving support for some basic classroom needs will allow me o decrease my school supply list and allow families to sleep easier knowing their student won't be without supplies for the school year.

Being in an age of technology, students and families often rely on information and materials being shared with their students digitally, but there is still great need for students to write, highlight, and express themselves via paper and pencil.

Providing supplies that are often overlooked on the supply list like, paper, pencils, and highlighters will allow students to practice basic skills that cannot be achieved through technology. These activities include novel studies, writing essays, letter writing, creative projects to show mastery, etc.
