This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Access to essential resources plays a crucial role in a student's ability to learn and thrive. In our school community, many students face challenges related to menstrual health, often lacking access to basic products such as tampons and pads. To address this pressing need, I am seeking support for Cora brand period products, along with an assortment of snacks. These items are not just necessities; they are key to fostering a supportive learning environment. Providing Cora period products will significantly impact our students' learning experiences.

When students have reliable access to menstrual hygiene products, they can manage their periods with dignity and confidence.

This is vital for minimizing distractions during class and reducing absenteeism. No student should have to miss school due to a lack of access to basic hygiene items. By ensuring that our students can focus on their education rather than their personal circumstances, we empower them to participate fully in their learning.

In addition to menstrual products, offering snacks is equally important. Nutrition fuels cognitive function and enhances concentration. Students who are well-nourished are better equipped to engage in classroom activities, participate in discussions, and perform academically. By providing assorted snacks, we can support our students’ physical health and create a more conducive learning environment.

What makes my students special is their resilience and determination. They come from diverse backgrounds, many facing challenges that can hinder their educational journeys. Despite these obstacles, they exhibit remarkable creativity and eagerness to learn. By providing them with essential items like Cora products and snacks, we can help remove barriers to their success and allow their potential to shine.
