My Students

My 1st graders are amazing! They are hardworking, dedicated and engaged in learning! I love their resilience and desire to work hard to achieve. They show up each day ready to learn, despite ongoing challenges from COVID-19. I am lucky to spend each day with them!

My Project

Due to COVID-19, we are utilizing more technology in the classroom, which is awesome. I don't currently have headphones for my students to use with their Chromebooks. You can imagine the distractions that come when 28 students are trying to engage in online learning. Headphones will help my students stay focused and on task.

I have also requested additional resources for reading interventions.

This year, I am teaching the English side of a French DLI classroom. I have a total of 56 students, and many of them are struggling readers. The word building boards and blending cards will help during small group to reinforce what is being taught.
