Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been teaching special education for four years now. I absolutely love that all of my students have different ways of learning. In my classroom, we celebrate our diversity and focus on our strengths. We always celebrate when one of us crosses a milestone.

My students live in a very urban and low-income community, and as a result, they do not always receive all of the resources that they deserve.

Many of my students come from single-parent homes, are homeless, or are in foster care. I hope that through projects like this one, I can bring as many resources to my students as possible and continue to encourage their curiosity and learning. I believe that my encouragement and positivity will inspire my students to work harder toward their goals, be proud of who they are, and contribute their innovations to the world they are inheriting. I am determined to help them see what they are capable of and focus less on what they are missing. My kids deserve all the love and support in the world, and I am ready to help them find it.

My Project

We don't have enough power plugs in our class properly located and are in a huge need of a power extension. We will be using the extension cord to plug in our sharpener, a projector, and a computer. We also need cover sheets for our essays, graphic organizers and more! We have been learning a lot about how to be more environmentally friendly and we don't want to keep printing our graphic organizers. We would like to be more environmentally conscious and only use one. If we have the sheet covers we will be able to accomplish that. Thank you in advance for your support.
